Photography is my passion, not my profession. I am an amateur through and through. But, like many, I share a fascination for the tools that allow us to capture light.

I spent my very first pay check on a Sony A7 mark I. A year prior, I first saw this new generation of mirrorless cameras on a trip to Japan and my interest was ignited. A few years later, Hasselblad launched the X1D system. A medium format sensor with quirky operations in the most stunning aluminium body I had ever seen. It took a few more years before I pulled the trigger on a second-hand one.

Last year, I decided to pick up a technical camera. Leaving the world of what most would consider consumer grade cameras, the decision making became a challenge in itself. What’s the difference between the Cambo, Alpa and Arca bodies? How much shift do I need? Which lenses pair with digital sensors and what even is Copal 0?

In the hope to provide interesting reading for some of you out there, this page is dedicated to share some of my very limited insights into photography and the tools that fascinate me.
